The vertical ripples are from the artwork being rolled up - these disappear when the canvas is stretched taut. Ships rolled in a tube for easy stretching/framing. South Sea Paradise 1 is part of a series of coastal artworks, depicting sand dunes, seas and skies I work in a Neo- Impressionist style using a palette of light aqua, blues, beige, dark blue, deep greens, sandy beige tones and white. The paint is applied in thick brushstrokes and palette knife to create a soft seascape. This artwork ships rolled in a tube. The full size of the artwork is 67.7x 40.1 inches 172cm x 102 cm allowing enough canvas to stretch on a deep edge (1.7inch/ 4cm thick stretcher) to create an artwork 160 x 90cm as shown in the cropped image. The framing preview shows the artwork as 160cm H x 90cm W approximately.
