Spin Cycle Painting

"Spin Cycle" A personal note: "Often the world seems to spin around me. It's always been terribly difficult to describe. Sometimes the spin is when I feel like a hamster in a while just doing all the things. Life is a little like a blur. Other times, I spin out and feel lost. At these times, I often unlock something quite special. In seeing all the elements spinning around me, I find a sense of groundlessness. I can see puzzle pieces unfold, patterns, and rhythm to the madness. For me, it takes being lost to be found. Not sure if this makes any sense at all. Some call it FLOW; I call it my spin. When I painted this piece, I allowed all of those concepts, puzzle pieces, and elements to connect with a place on the canvas. I see all the things come together with protective boundaries safely in a limited color palette. On this, I paint with emotion, so when I look at it now, I see the dance of emotions playing out of me." - Gracein
