ABOUT THE ARTWORK
An outgrowth of my recent rhythm series, this piece takes a more purely abstract form. A play on music and sound that exists around us but has never been notated, perhaps because our current system of transcription couldn't express it. Above all, a playful take on musical scoring that lends itself to free interpretation. Painted, drawn, and collaged to 100% rag paper; titled and signed by the artist in pencil, stamped with a carved 'w' chop mark, and dated '7/21'
