Spring Vibes Painting

I am Patricia Hausen, a contemporary abstract artist from Germany, and my work embodies the essence of minimalism. My artistic journey is deeply rooted in my connection to nature, particularly the serene qualities of water and the sea, as well as the calming harmonies of classical music. Through my minimalist approach, I strive to create a sanctuary of calm for both myself and my audience. My diverse educational background includes studies at prestigious institutions such as KLC School of Design, West Dean College of Arts and Conservation, Yale University, Bradford University, Mozarteum Salzburg, Leeds Conservatoire, and Freie Universität Berlin. Each of these experiences has shaped my unique artistic perspective and allows me to draw from a rich tapestry of cross-disciplinary knowledge. In my artistic practice, I explore the delicate balance between simplicity and complexity. I skillfully manipulate a limited palette to reveal the intrinsic qualities of colors, shapes, and materials. My work is a testament to the power of reduction, demonstrating how the essence of form can be captured with minimal elements. I follow an intuitive creative process, guided by an inner compass that seeks equilibrium without sacrificing dynamism. I find inspiration in the principles of modern art, the subtleties of everyday surroundings, and the raw beauty of nature. However, it is my personal quest for authentic expression that truly drives my artistic exploration. Recently, I have been captivated by the fluidity and unpredictability of liquid media. Working with ink, watercolor, and diluted acrylic paint on high-quality paper or natural fabrics, I investigate the interplay of deep color spaces and delicate lines. This experimental approach allows me to embrace serendipity and remain open to the unexpected revelations that emerge during the creative process. My artworks serve as quiet meditations on life's fundamental simplicity and inherent beauty. They offer viewers a moment of respite from the chaos of daily life, inviting contemplation and inner resonance. Through my art, I aim to create a visual oasis—a space where eyes can rest and souls can find solace in the midst of our fast-paced world.
