About The Artwork

This painting is one of a series that was created during a challenging time, in which I unexpectedly spent a stormy month in St. Louis, Missouri. Inspired by difficult emotions such as fear, dread, and anguish, the works evolved to include elements of light and balance, illustrating that every shadow has a light side (and vice versa). I hope that these dramatic works will resonate with any viewer who has gone through tough times. May we be united through our struggles, and bound together by hope and love.
