About The Artwork
This mixed media painting was done from a live model. Every week I would meet with her in her loft in Montreal and I would paint and draw her in her own space. Working from the model in your studio is entirely different from drawing or painting the model in her own space. She was more comfortable there and it helped me produce some very expressive pieces, many of which have already been sold. This work is done in gesso, charcoal, acrylic paint, ink and Windsor & Newton watercolors on 140lb Arches watercolor paper. There are small pinholes in the corners because the work needed to be pinned down while it was being created and the are an intrinsical part of the creation of this painting. I have signed it and I will provide a certificate of authenticity. I really hope you like this painting!
