This work was initiated by a project for a master’s art class. The theme was actually bridges. I felt I was “bridging” a gap between “the now” and what was, or what will be. We have all lost loved ones and that includes our pets.
I created, what I felt was a serene and beautiful path to the hereafter. Not including a figure was intentional. I want the viewer to develop their own story and make it personal.
The scene should resonate with us all and my hope is that it creates a sense of peace and beauty.

I am a University graduate with a degree in art……………..but that does NOT make me the painter I am! Living in Florida full time, means color attacks my senses on an ongoing basis. I see it, I breathe it, I touch it, I LIVE it!!! I love to use an abundance of color and I very intentionally violate the rules. if I’ve caused someone to STOP and LOOK and THINK about my work then I’ve accomplished what I set out to do. It is all part of the journey of creativity………..and then the anticipation of it all………… How will the viewer perceive my art and will they be touched by it.
