About The Artwork

It was a long, cold winter in New England when I painted this painting. My body and soul were craving warmth and sunshine. What better way for an artist to feel that warmth then to work with orange. Orange just screams out sunshine and invigorates and stimulates us - it fills us with a positive creative energy and lifts our spirits. Creating this painting helped me get thru that winter and I worship these colors! This 30x30 acrylic painting is on a gallery wrapped canvas. It is unframed but the sides are painted and it is wired and ready to hang.

I am an internationally known artist originally from Taunton, Massachusetts. I now live with my husband in the western part of Mass amongst the beautiful mountains and valleys. I grew up visiting Cape Cod and many of my pieces reflect my time spent at the beach or playing alongside ponds and lakes. I have a degree in Accounting from Bryant University but have been making art since I was very young. I am a self taught artist and have worked extremely hard getting my work recognized in the world. In 2016 I was invited to become an Artist member of the Art in Embassies program administered by the US state department. I have a painting included in an exhibition in Monrovia, Liberia at the residence of Christine Elder, the US Ambassador to Liberia. My work has been used on film, television and commercials. In April 2019 I finally left my "day job" to begin working as a full time artist. I love what I do and love contributing my art to the world and help make people's lives more enriched and colorful.
