Art Description

Painting: Acrylic, Ink, Paper on Wood.

“Stars and Stripes” is largely inspired by the “Palmer Method,” penmanship instruction dating back to the late 19th century in America.

The painting is acrylic, and ink on birch panel with silver and gold metallics. The stripes portion of the painting has an intentional roughness and slight texture to represent the aging methods of handwriting. Edges of the painting are finished in a very dark, warm hue, and the painting is wired, ready to hang.
