State of Flow reflects my personal experience observing the movement and energy of the ocean. I worked with sand, acrylic gesso and modeling paste to create texture, relief and a strong physical presence on the surface.

Fabio Marinho is a Brazilian visual artist currently based in Fargo, North Dakota. After nearly two decades working in education and technology, he decided in 2015 to fully dedicate himself to the art he had loved since childhood: painting. His early works paid tribute to music legends, translating presence and vibration into portraits rich in texture and energy. Over the years, he has created hundreds of paintings now part of private collections in more than ten countries. Many of his clients commission personalized portraits based on meaningful photographs, often capturing significant family moments or honoring loved ones. Driven by a deep curiosity about the subtle dimensions of existence, Fabio explores the relationship between energy, sound, and human transformation: physical, emotional, and vibrational. His creative process is profoundly meditative and intuitive, seeking to translate the invisible forces of sound and consciousness into color and form. Moving between symbolic realism and emotional abstraction, his work often touches on themes of spirituality, resonance, and the interconnectedness between human energy and the environment. In April 2025, he participated in the Hawley Art Show (Minnesota), receiving both the Committee Choice Award for his portrait of Marie Curie and the Public Appreciation Award for Light on the Past, a tribute to Native American heritage.
