Still life in memento mori or vanitas style. The plot of the picture is philosophical. Next to the horse's skull is a chessboard with a checkmate. The allegory of the plot is that it doesn't matter whether you were a winner or a loser - eventually, everyone ends up the same. The vanitas genre, which derives its name from the Latin word for "futility. The picture can be suitable for your hallway, living room, as well as a café or tattoo studio. The picture will perfectly fit into a loft-style interior.
All my paintings are hand-made. It is an absolutely unique oil artwork that employs layering technique on a high-quality medium-grain linen canvas.
I enjoy painting small objects (e.g. fruits or flowers) magnified multiple times with a high detail level.

If you are not sure how the painting might look in your room, you can send me a picture of it - I will return it to you with an artwork image fit into your interior.

The paintings are being created using a layering technique, which imposes applying several (up to 5) paint layers; the next layer is applied only after the previous one is dry. In case if the required size is not available at the moment, it might take 3-4 weeks for me to paint it for you.

Thank you for visiting my page. My name is Elen Miladovska. I was born and live in Ukraine. I am 48 years old (2020), happily married and have a son and daughter. Several years ago, when planning my apartment's reconstruction and studying different interior designs, I was impressed with how much a simple painting could change in the interior. With it, you can add a bright spot to any design, making even the most boring interior alive. I was studying arts being a youngster, I became a fashion designer later, but I never tried oil painting. Eastern Wisdom says that the teacher appears when the student is ready, and soon I met an incredible young artist who literally immersed me into this beautiful world of painting. It wasn't complicated at all due to my previous professional experience; it was so exciting, and I devoted all my spare time and energy to it. My artworks appeared in my house and the houses of my friends. I'm deeply thankful to my family for their support; they made my dream possible. My husband, son, and daughter are people who inspire me while being the most rigorous critics. Luckily we live in a beautiful, wide-open world where we can share our thoughts, ideas, and passion with everybody over the globe. I would like to share my passion with you. Visit my shop; I do hope you will like it.
