About The Artwork
'Stone Mountains' is a companion painting to 'Somewhere in a Land Far Far Away' and 'In the Clouds.' Each one is inspired by delicate and beautiful Asian landscapes. Each painting can stand on its own, and any combination will complement when hung together. Asian landscapes are contemplative paintings. The more you view them, the more you see. I hope I've captured some of that wonder in this series. Stone Mountains 18" x 24" Unframed Alcohol Ink Grafix Paper. Care Instructions: Frame and hang your original art work as soon as possible. If framing must be delayed, protect your artwork with acid free paper or the glassine paper provided when shipped. Do not expose the artwork to direct or bright sunlight. Lightly dust with a fluffy duster or soft lint-free cloth if needed. Do not use water or chemical cleaners on the art work. Important Note Note: Calibration for color varies between monitors, and color is often rendered differently. The image you see may be brighter or paler, a bit more (or less) green or a bit more or less (blue) than the original depending on your monitor

Creativity is a release from doing what I 'should' do and instead, doing what I love. - Art has always been a part of me. In my early years I studied drawing, painting, and photography. Adult life got in the way when I started my own business. Fortunately, I've been able to be surrounded by beautiful items and art because of my career, but it isn't the same as creating. One of the many things that art has in common with my "real job" is that there is always something to discover. - Currently I'm leaning toward alcohol inks. I love the way the inks work with flowing abstracts, colorful florals, and whimsical themes. The colors are brilliant and luminous. It's also challenging, which keeps it fun.
