'Stormy weather' Acrylic and Silver leaf on box canvas ready to hang, was inspired by a line from a song, 'A hard rain is gonna fall' Brain Ferry. It evokes feelings of cold winds and glistening rain, turning your collar to the impending unknown stormy times ahead. Yet it has a silver lining if you look carefully, and in the right atmospheric light conditions hope shines through. Size 39" x 39" part 1 and part 2 39" x 39" make the full landscape viewed together.

‘’ My focus is the one true stability in our lives, a resonating horizon line with its surreal form of beauty, ever changing with the time of day. Atmospheric light conditions echo moments in time and place creating recollections in our minds… It gets light, it gets dark, everything else is incidental.” Jenny-wren. Currently discovering a series of abstracted landscapes, working with acrylic paint and metal leaf, gold, copper and silver. Jenny-wren uses her finger tips and palette knife, to produce layers of horizon lines that intersect to add depth and ambiguity to the landscape. Fascinated by light refraction and mood her practice spreads itself across media; including a love for Collagraph, dry point intaglio and lino printing. The final results often portray a vibrancy of colour and resonate with notion of ‘mindscapes’ Currently working with water colour inks and pigments on a new series of works .
