Street corner #2 Painting

Portrait of an urban erosion. Parts of the urban environment is forgotten and in decay. In oblivion an oasis of cracks are formed and poetry of decay sips out.. That poetry is what I embrace and reflect in my rendering. Traces are formed on the surface caused by the environment such as graffiti, dirt, demolition , wear and tear. All this creates specific characters into the environment the different structures that form delicate interactions that for me clarifies the quaint expression. Every colour and shades that are formed gives me the opportunity to strengthen and clarify the content of my work. The small details stands in contrast against the larger surfaces, formation of directions and surfaces in the scene. It is where a balance between them has to work with and against each other.
