Study in Shapes Painting

Susan Landesmann was born and raised in Vienna, Austria, and moved to the United States to study art history and communications at Simmons College in Boston. After graduating, she worked as a production coordinator at the Guggenheim Museum and Lincoln Center in New York, before earning a AAS degree in design from Parsons. Since 1996, she has worked as a graphic designer/creative director in Los Angeles, where she founded her own studio, Landesmann Design, in 2007. Simultaneously, she has developed a fine art practice, which incorporates elements of design—silkscreen print making, digital collage, acrylic, oil, and paper—and has exhibited in several group shows around LA. Her recent work focuses on shapes, line, and color.
