About The Artwork
Soft & serene oil landscape painting. A ten mile coastal walk from Lymington revealed many glorious views, including this peaceful house, snuggling amongst the trees, looking out to sea. Semi abstract in style, this artwork is painted in long sweeping brushstrokes, giving the impression of the calm water, washing up to the coastline, with the low lying plants, trees and sculptural yews framing the house. Reminiscent of an idyllic summers evening on the English coast. Edges left a clean white, so can be hung unframed (please see additional photograph). Painted in Michael Harding Professional Artists Oil Colours on a stretched canvas, this painting is strung and ready to hang. Signed and dated on the back, with a Certificate of Authenticity provided. This artwork will be carefully wrapped in tissue, foam board, recycled bubble wrap, and packed into a sturdy cardboard box.

Lizzie Butler is an expressive, semi abstract artist, who works in a contemporary style in oil. Her strong spatial awareness and a passion for working en plein air, inform her practice and lead to paintings that recreate the intangible atmosphere found in landscapes and the peaceful silence of nature. Most of her paintings are begun outside and completed in her London studio. Although working primarily in oil, Lizzie also enjoys the physicality of exploring etching with zinc and steel plates, to create intaglio prints. Lizzie Butler's artwork has been exhibited at Leighton House Museum, Kensington, London, The Russell Gallery, London, and several other Galleries. Lizzie's paintings can be found in collections in America, New Zealand, the UK and across Europe, with several customers returning to buy further paintings and place commissions. March 2019 - Two pieces shortlisted for the Royal Academy of Arts summer exhibition.
