ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This still life was painted in layers using acrylic paint and a lost expressive style. I painted directly from observation in my light filled studio in the summer with all the windows open and wanted to capture that cool breezy feeling. Paint shows through from the under layers and this work was left not too finished to convey a sense of light and ease. The painting is a diptych (painted across 2 canvasses).
