Contact us.Based between her studios in South West London and South West France, Wendy Bliss is an award-winning multidisciplinary artist, curator, and researcher. Her practice spans drawing, printmaking, painting, and textile manipulation to investigate identity, ecological fragility, and the friction between surface beauty and uncomfortable truths. Her concept-driven work is deeply informed by an academic background in developmental psychology, a synthesis that earned her a shortlist spot for the Celeste Art Prize. An influential force in the arts community, she received the Guardian Civic Award for Arts and Entertainment for her curatorial impact, which includes co-founding the Merton Arts Trail and curating for the Royal Hospital for Neuro-Disability. Notably, she is the founder of "The Covid Chronicle" (2020), a monumental global textile installation equal in scale to the Bayeux Tapestry. Following a 2022 UK tour, the chronicle is currently exhibited at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, with permanent acquisition inquiries open to benefit the national mental health charity MIND alongside local grassroots mental health initiatives. Her unique creative vision is enriched by a diverse career trajectory. Her professional roots stretch from the 1970s London fashion industry—working with iconic designers like Zandra Rhodes and Bill Gibb—to her current role as a Director at the award-winning market research consultancy FLOOD + Partners.
