Sunlit Tree and Meadow Flowers Painting

Hello, I´m Teresa Henry, I´m an artist, graphic designer and teacher. I have always drawn and painted or worked in a creative environment. Art to me is a means of self discovery and expression and my paintings are a visual journal reflecting my journey and approach.   Trained in Interdisciplinary Design at Berkshire School of Art and Design (UK), I built a successful 20+ year career as a graphic and digital designer. After having a family my focus shifted away from art and design and I retrained as a nutritional therapist running a successful practice and then relocating to Spain. However my love for design and art never left me and I returned to my artistic roots. My process is a kind of tug of war (which mirrors my own life experience) between pushing boundaries, venturing into the unknown whilst keeping hold of the familiar which I feel is reflected in my paintings. I am an explorer of self, and I find watercolours allow for a lot of self expression, the colours, the flow and mingle of the pigments, combined with subjects I love. I find the whole process very calming and joyful. I love to learn and I´m continually learning something new. Now I teach it to others which brings me great joy. I produce contemporary, expressive and impressionistic watercolours, inspired by my graphic skills, life events and experiences, memory and imagination. I maintain a studio visitable by appointment and I teach in-person art classes where I share my skills and perspectives on creativity.
