"Sunset Over The Ocean Pier" Acrylic on canvas When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. -Isaiah 43:2-3 My paintings have an Impressionistic style and reflect my mood and emotions based on the music I am listening to. I gain my inspiration from music and nature. I want my work to convey a message of peace and harmony yet contain energy and movement of music. I create depth in my acrylic paintings by applying multiple layers of acrylic paint. Conveying a sense of comfort for the mind to wander the image horizon of the image and meditate. Each painting achieves mesmerizing atmospheric depth, encouraging the viewer to gaze and be still. I graduated with honors and received my Bachelors Degree in Fine Art from Memphis College of Art in 2000. He regularly exhibits his art throughout the Australia and America. I'm currently painting full time in my home studio in Longmont, Colorado. My paintings are an intricate weaving of the elements of Impressionist masters like Monet and Post-impressionist artist Van Gogh. Each piece inspired by the vastness, splendor and beauty of nature and the outdoors. Exemplifying the medium’s pure expressive potential to transform the visible world by creating movement using intense complementary colors and layered energetic brush strokes.
