"Sunset at Favela Prazeres" Rio de Janeiro. I only have to close my eyes when I want to make a painting that depict the Favelas of Rio. I can see, hear and feel the life of "Favela Prazeres" when the night comes, comfortably installed on the terrace of the little house located on "Rua Almirante Alexandrino" in Santa Teresa neighborhood. Then, I take my brushes and my knives, I start to paint the sunset and the beginning of the Nightlife. Suddenly my studio becomes a box and my canvas turns into a magic door that opens onto a fragile but irresistible world. Rio is still one of the cities that inspires me the most.
