About The Artwork
The work was inspired by the song "Supermarket Flowers" by Ed Sheeran. It reminded me of my mother and her passing and all the emotions linked to this time. The work is on canvas with a bituminous mystic base which gives the darkness and texture to the work. The painting is then done in acrylics and pencil crayons.
