ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Although entirely abstract, I was immediately drawn to the figurative quality of the blue-green shape - a figure in movement and highly animated. The bold yet pastel bands of colour are suggestive of a horizon that constantly shifts, invoking a precarious yet brave action. The painting continues around the edges of the stretcher, so that it is not appropriate for framing. This piece is strung for hanging and signed on the back.
