THIS IS A VERY SPECIAL ARTWORK. CONCRETELY THIS ONE, SO LET ME EXPLAIN TO YOU WHY. When I started Swimmers in December 2019, I used DM wood as support and cut corners myself. I did not use epoxy resin, and the Swimmer´s shadow and the body were painted in the same layer. Swimmers 2.0 arrived in December 2020, so one year later. This evolution added deepness and a 3D effect to the sea that you can appreciate and enjoy when you have a Swimmers artwork in front of you. Last October 2021, I spent a weekend in Lisbon and somehow, Swimmers 3.0 was created in my mind. Since then, I have been working in it with the base of using coloured epoxy resin that I apply in layers. The Swimmer´s shadow is now double, creating movement. The Swimmers body is more conceptual, more pop, more neon and slightly bigger. The essence of it is still the same as a Swimmer is going against the grain, and that was me and is now you following your real dream in life, like I did and do. In this creation process of Swimmers 3.0, I work in very special and limited artworks with the only purpose of learning, and often I do not sell these artworks as they might not be good enough or might have some defaults. In this case, this artwork is part of the first five artworks that will never be repeated as they are part of a very conscious thinking process and will always be unique. If you are passionate about Swimmers Collection and want to grow with it, this is a unique chance of having part of the current evolution with you.
