Tetris Painting

This artwork reflects the inspiration and thoughts Tetris game has had on me as a watercolor artist. Tetris has been a captivating game for me since my childhood, and in this piece, it resulted in an abstract expression that merges the game's abstract geometric shapes with emotional and conceptual elements. Using watercolor and ink, I depicted the dance of colors and forms. Each shape represents different emotions and thoughts. I contemplated the falling and arrangement of tetrominos during the game. It led me to create a rhythm between different colors and forms, evoking a sense of completion and tranquility at times, and complex dissonance at others. These abstract figures symbolize the universal themes of Tetris. While conveying concepts of organization, harmony, balance, and continuity, they also evoke reflections on the challenges and opportunities encountered in the game, reminiscent of similar experiences in life. This artwork aims to symbolize the complexities of life and the pursuit of order beyond Tetris being just a game. I hope that this piece, filled with abstract figures, reminds art enthusiasts to balance the constantly changing pieces of life harmoniously." Tetris, 21*29 cm / 300 g cold press paper.
