ABOUT THE ARTWORK

The series, "Human, Flora and Fauna" deals with our emotions in the ways they connect us with nature; the behavior of animals, the way that flowers and plants grow and how we are a large part of it. All of the characters: the human, the animal and the flower live in an uncanny symbiosis in which new relations between them, be it the sensible and or the erratic are explored. Sometimes the heroine physically overlaps with the flora and fauna, but they are all in an extreme emotional state that is filled with romanticism, darkness, love and fear and becomes a direct reflection of the invisible world that lives within us.

Los Angeles based Zlatka Paneva is an artist, whose background is in Fine Arts and sculpture, has developed a distinct style uniting technology and skill. Through an elaborate process, Paneva creates unanticipated combinations, entering a collision of visual information. Her work is produced through a range of hand and digital processes that create simultaneously familiar and completely fresh results. She uses four types of processes throughout her body of work: digital, collage, painting and printing techniques. "Everything in my work is rooted in me—biographically and culturally. My roots, my visions, my issues are represented in my work." In her art, Z.Paneva create a atmosphere focused on harmony, purity, and symbolism, where the balance and interdependence permeate in every particle of human being and nature, exchange and create the beauty in the coexistence. She portray human existence in relation to the changing world, mood and intensity of current time and whether it is a portrait of a person, flora or a fauna, her work reflects the complexity of Coexistence... The prints and illustrations from her Rococco-LA collection have become cult images and are sold all around the world with much success. The last few years, Z,Paneva has been working on her art full time and what she's making is excellent - it's visually exciting, charming and funny but has so much depth and wisdom. Her work is in national and international collections.
