"The Bohemian" is part of a new collection titled "ode to Guardians and the Impuissant". It is a visual discourse on the frail but resilient nature of black women whom I call black heroines. The collection from which this piece has its inspiration from is Maya Angelou's work "still I rise" and so it speaks of an unapologetic nature of a race that has been graded second-class for so long yet there's so much strength to be found where they're thought to be weak..
