I intersect the techniques and possibilities of painting, sculpture, and printmaking art by bringing layers together with paint, surface, height, depth, and various materials. While reinterpreting classical masterpieces, I try to disrupt the primary material of the painting, constructing a new narrative. By altering the main substance of the original painting, I aim to disrupt the old order and challenge the traditional conventions. Although I partially retain the texture of the originals, I transform and deconstruct them. Through deconstructing the original artwork, I also deconstruct the artistic and social conventions behind it. I try to create a new narrative born from the disagreement with the existing mold, silencing the original's voice, and giving it a new one. Wish you hear what I loved which I heard...

Özgür Aktaş's main field is Graphic Design but he works on multiple approaches with different subjects, techniques and themes. His main focus is to produce social and political criticism through his graphic works, paints and prints.
