Contact us.Colter is a multidisciplinary artist working across painting, collage and surface experimentation. Her practice centres on texture, material layering and the physicality of process — exploring excavation, erosion and reconstruction as both visual and emotional language. Through building, scraping and embedding pigment, she creates works that hold tension between control and release, structure and spontaneity.
This sensibility is deeply rooted in her background in fashion, where material, construction and surface were central to her creative development. In 2019, she launched her womenswear label COLTER, merging art and design through expressive print, embroidery and sculptural detailing.
Prior to this, Colter worked within leading luxury fashion houses in London including Erdem and Peter Pilotto, specialising in print and embroidery development. Her career began in New York after graduating top of her class with a BA in Fashion, where she joined the studio of Anna Sui, further refining her artistic eye within an internationally recognised design house.
Across each chapter of her career, a commitment to material exploration and visual storytelling has remained constant, forming the foundation of her evolving fine art practice.
