I'm interested in the idea that political propaganda and commercial PR are essentially the same beast. That the individual is somehow not complete without whatever 'they' are selling today.. be that a fizzy drink, a lifestyle choice or a political ideology. Here i've painted in oils, Michelangelo's David. A beautiful representation of courage in the face of adversity. I hope the painting will remind the viewer that they are powerful as an individual. That we don't need trinkets or others to be valid and important and loved.
