This work is part of a series inspired by modern ballet. Dance is about movement, however there is something static and permanent in the air of concentration and absorption of the performers. Capturing the simultaneous presence of movement and stillness is what I am aiming to achieve.

My primary interest is in the human condition expressed through the human form. I divide my practice between working from nature, a very deliberate process of building an internal visual library, and intuitive drawing/painting.
