A romantic image of a corner of Ingria, a protected area on which the brilliant St. Petersburg was built in the 18th century. The presented picture is a pictorial and graphic impromptu, created over several years, in a remote village, isolated from civilization. The author left work for many months, allowing it to grow, and he himself gained new impressions in walks through the magical northern forests, mysterious, foggy and enigmatic. The composition of the drawing, at first glance chaotic, reflects the harmony of the space of a wild forest, hidden from superficial attention. Due to the absence of a compositional center, the painting seems to strive to grow in all directions, barely contained within the boundaries of a rectangular sheet. Contemplation of it, just like contemplation of a wild forest, can last forever. Soft halftones and smooth outlines do not tire the eye, but contribute to peace of mind.
