This artwork was created at the very beginning of 2020 using acrylic and water. I was very much inspired by the coastline and ocean like colors. It was very calming for me to do especially at a time when there was so much uncertainty. I hope that this piece brings a calming to anyone who sees it.

I am a California based Artist. I started painting on canvas about 9 years ago. I have always been drawn to artistry in all forms. I knew there was something in that realm for me, but it wasn't until I was in a desperate need to find myself that I by chance started photographing sunsets and painting on canvas, it really did exactly what I needed it to, which was act as a form of therapy to a very chaotic time in my life. The colors, the textures, the atmosphere just aligned so perfectly to help me understand human emotions, the complexities of life and really just an outlet to express all of whom I am. It came with this sense of awareness and a great appreciation for meditation and just getting ahold of your mind. So, I hope that my art inspires people not only to be who they are authentically, I think that's a given with any Artist, but also to dive deep into the emotional side of life and humanness. Pain, happiness, chaos, all of it.
