ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting was done on sight at the embarcadero in Morro Bay, California. The painting depicts a series of boats lined up at a dock on a sunny day. The painting explores the many vertical and horizontal lines and repetition of colors. Painting this was difficult, as the light is ever changing. I would come out on a different day and have to repaint the whole picture because due to the weather conditions all the details had changed. But it is so rewarding to closely study nature and this picture is evidence of that continued search.
