ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This gouache was inspired by the story of a runaway emperor my mother told me when I was a little girl. She had the habit of inventing stories and fairy tales, as well as lullabies. The reason is that we (my brother and sisters) already knew all famous fairy tales after all the picture books and cartoons, so her stories were much more interesting. It is painted with watercolors and white ink on a white Fabriano 230-gram paper, soft pressed.
