This painting is inspired by the fishing communities along the Nigerian coast.

Here we see a lone woman paddling her canoe towards the infinite sea. There are two other canoes that sort of block her way. This painting is partly an allegory of the fact that in life, we have infinite opportunities. Infinite destinations we can go to - we just need to pass through one or two (or more) obstacles, and then the vast ocean of opportunities and destinations is before us - free and infinite.

I like to paint and draw, and my favorite medium is oil on canvas. I'm constantly trying to understand 'beauty' and all its components. I make artworks that I think(and hope!) will be beautiful. I think through beauty, an artist can share his message. Of course, as an artist, you're 'free' to make anything you want, but for me, I think the first limitation an artist should place on himself is that it should be beautiful. Speaking of palettes, like the family of reds, oranges, and yellows. So, these are the colors that often feature in my paintings, at least for now.
