This piece is the first of the "The Fourth Dimension" series. The inspiration for this painting came from a dream I had the night before I started the piece. It was so beautiful that I decided to attempt to replicate the scene in the dream with the hope that it would make you feel the happy emotions...

I am a painter, born in Nigeria, but now based in London of the United Kingdom. I studied Fine and Applied Art majoring in painting. I officially started painting professionally in 2003 with a private collection in Nigeria, London, Holland, and America. My work is rooted in my early childhood exposure to the design world by the students of the Arts and Design school in Nigeria. While my paintings explore emotions and the inner self, their structure is built upon the foundation of the formal elements of design. Inspired by nature and the events around me, my paintings essentially give beautiful and warm narratives and are easily accessible. I usually begin the painting process in my head as diverse ideas triggered, in most cases by something in nature, flood my mind. It's like there is a voice in my head giving me instructions on how to paint the ideas I see in my mind. During this exploration, I always go back and forth with the use of my medium until an authentic piece is developed. In 2008, I turned from my formative years of studying figurative, still life, and landscape paintings, to exploring abstraction where I give priority to colour over the other elements of art and shifted from gestural work to paintings that can have a strong sense of geometry and pattern. Sometimes, references to recognisable figures or landscapes can still be found.
