The stag, symbolizing strength, and stamina, acts as a guide to navigate the wild places within us. It knows the paths that will lead us to trust our instincts, a trait that may have been neglected for a long time. The stag spirit guide teaches us that loss can be a gateway to more rewarding gains in the future the sacred feminine, represented by the woman, is being called forth to restore balance to the world. It emphasizes the interconnectedness of all life and the importance of women taking up their roles as guardians of the earth. The antlers symbolize a reconnection with our wild selves, representing endurance, strength, and insight. Created with Oil paint and 23Kt gold leaf on a wood panel - it is framed and wired to hang. Katie O’Sullivan is a contemporary figurative painter and ceramic sculptor. She received her BFA from Parsons School of Design in New York City. She Currently lives and works as a professional artist in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Katie has always been drawn to the artistry of the human form. Portrayed in many different styles and mediums, it has been the central part of her paintings and sculptures throughout her career. Her work focuses on narrative and storytelling, with each new body of work giving her the opportunity to explore new ways to reimagine the human figure. Artist Staement Resurrection is the title of my current body of work. The resurrection of the divine feminine, the goddess, the witch, the wise one that lives in all of us. The resurrection of our voice, our truth, our freedom, our soul. Those aspects of our selves that have been silenced, trivialized, denied, buried.
