This painting started a now growing body of work inspired by the North London scenery and what one might see in the very early hours of the morning. I was up very early one winter morning after a rare snowfall, and spotted that someone else in the neighbourhood right behind my house was also up. Scenes like this leave you wondering what the other person in this big city is up to. Have they just come home from a night shift? Are they just waking up? Are they alone or not? There is something just warm and comforting in seeing the glow of another person's lamp in the night. This painting was realised in acrylic paint on canvas. It signed at the front (bottom right) and at the back, which also shows the date and title.
