QZ -QPICASSO Z |San Diego, California QZ, a visual artist and refugee in the U.S., is a person of resilience and dignity. In a world filled with pain and darkness, QZ has carved out a unique place for himself through his art exhibitions that focus on human rights. He aspired to offer protection to society through his art, but instead faced the hellish pursuit of ISIS, forcing him to flee his homeland, Iraq, in 2011. QZ's journey has been more than just an escape; it's been a traverse through realms of suffering and trauma. After surviving the grips of terrorism and psychological torture, he continued his life as a displaced refugee in America, where he lives under careful, ongoing mental health treatment. Having lost all his wealth and possessions during his arduous journey, he has had to take on simple jobs in the U.S., not only to earn a living but to stay alive. Each day, QZ struggles between his emotional pain and his new reality, striving to find a place of peace and healing in a world that has not been kind to his suffering.
