This sweeping skyscape is the latest in my sunset series and at 24” by 24” it is a perfect statement piece. It has taken many hours of work and been built up over a few weeks with numerous glazes in acrylic and oil, creating subtle colour effects. The Old Man of Storr is one of my favourites. It's an evocative painting of a moment in time during a visit to the Isle of Skye. The Storr is a rocky hill on the Trotternish peninsula of the Isle of Skye in Scotland. The hill presents a steep rocky eastern face overlooking the Sound of Raasay, contrasting with gentler grassy slopes to the west. The painting continues round the sides and there are no visible tacks or staples, so framing before hanging is unnecessary. It is protected against dust and UV by two coats of varnish, so the colours will not fade.
The painting comes signed and dated by the artist with a Certificate of Authenticity. And will be despatched by a Next Day Courier service, so that you will know when to expect it to arrive. A
