ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Last time after painting the about Chinese family, I found one of the character the pink hair granny quite funny. So I decided to paint her again. She depicts traditional elements and contemporary trend in one body. The pink hair granny character was originally a white porcelain doll, with blue and white patterns on her, her trendy hair style makes her stunning. The culture here in Hong Kong is the same, with traditional Chinese culture as well as the features of a former British colony, and affected by Korean and Japanese culture as well. Old ladies can be trendy and cute in our contemporary culture.
