The Polar Bear and The Lotus Painting

While sketching, I sit and listen with the Earth; while painting, collaging, and connecting the pieces of collage together like an emerging puzzle that weaves a story. In this particular piece, a polar bear emerged, at first it's cave was dark. And after some weeks it became a shade of blue, like blue glacier ice. I feel as though I know the polar bear from other places where it talks to me, like a mother bear might. And it speaks to the earth and to it's genetic down line of polar bear on the Earth right now saying, "Don't weep for us. The bear will adapt." The earth says, "It is not the pollution that is heating up the glaciers, it is the warming of my core. And the warming is part of a healing."
