Busy people! ... that's what my mum said when she saw this new painting, The Proletariat. And she's right! They're on the production line, putting something together... they are the average, working-class person, the bread-and-butter of the world. Where would we be without them? Well, we're probably about to find out as more scenes like this are replaced by A.I and robots. I chose pink as it is really a soft red or the soft left. Yes, a little bit socialistic in ways. The pendulum is swinging again and the extremists are looking for any excuse to stir things up. The ugliness of the far right is rising again, things don't change much... [written in 2019]

Born in Auckland, New Zealand in 1971. I am a full time figurative artist.Interested in the visual arts and music from a young age. Grew up in the lush rural environment of Northland, NZ. International travels 1997 for 3 years taking in all major galleries. Extensive exhibiting of figurative paintings upon return from travels. Full time painting from 2005. Selling work within NZ as well as to international collectors including the John Deere Art collection in Moline, Illinois, USA. Inspired hugely by my own country, people and culture as well as by the modernist movements of early 20th century Europe.
