ABOUT THE ARTWORK
We have a lot of complex internal layers as human beings. Michelle Eva May try to convey this in her portraits by 'looking deeper' than what's on the surface and giving honest and pure expression. The artist is inspired by people, film & photography and translate this through my painting using layering techniques. Capturing 'a moment in time' forever. She wants the viewer to be moved by my work emotionally and to connect on a personal level that means something to others through their own journey in life which they can somehow relate to. We all have a story.
