Painting: Oil on Canvas.
I am always looking for new ways to explore presence in painting. An old black and white film still from the 1920-30's inspired in part this image. Once again this has never been in color and the surrounding information has been removed leaving the viewer with a beautiful illusion. The question of rising or falling is what we are left with. The painted flesh in the arms in this painting reference the ironing women done by Edgar Degas.
