ABOUT THE ARTWORK
“Gray No. 6" is the latest painting in my series called, "The Root of the Problem." My inspiration for this series and this painting in particular are the deep and primal emotions of desire. In life the root of the problem is often the want for what is just beyond reach. This work depicts that struggle of desire, passion, pleasure and pain. This work is predominantly deep blue-black and is lightly washed in layers of gray and white. Red shines through across the lower region of the painting. The painting is signed in the lower right front corner and is signed, dated and titled on the back. It is wired and ready to hang.
