About The Artwork

Monet's garden has two parts: a flower garden called Clos Normand in front of the house and a water garden inspired by Japanese style on the other side of the road. The Clos Normand With Clos Normand with an area of about one hectare of Monet he created a garden full of perspectives, symmetry and colors. The area is divided into flower beds, in which clumps of flowers of different heights form a volume. Fruit or decorative trees are dominated by climbing roses, mallow with long shoots and colorful annual edges. Monet mixed the simplest flowers (daisies and poppies) with the rarest varieties. The central street is covered with iron arches, on which climbing roses grow. Other rose trees cover the balustrade along the house. At the end of summer, nasturtiums attack the soil in the central avenue. Claude Monet did not like organized or limited gardens. He married flowers according to their colors and left them to grow freely. Over the years, he developed a passion for botany, exchanging plants with his friends Clemenceau and Caillebotte. Always looking for rare varieties, he bought young plants dearly. "All my money goes to my garden," he said. But also: "I'm in awe." Thanks to this, I can admire this wonderful vegetation ... paint it.

Faithful to nature - this is how Anna Kropiowska's painting could be described in a few words. This does not mean that his paintings are copies. It is rather a spontaneous jet of a sensation, and emotion... The light is perfectly mastered and full of perennial effects, it becomes an energy carrier that makes animated paintings and full of flavour. The relevance of the touch, flexible, but determined, sometimes allies with the impudence of the colours, sometimes rivals with it, to give a fairy world, and yet more real than nature. Anna Kropiowska paints directly on the motif, her favourite subjects being the landscapes captured at the moment. Her creative attitude organizes the space with a frank and sincere desire of enjoyment and pleasure of the eyes.
