The Silent Excruciating Painting

The pain created by the slave culture hidden in everyday speaking, working, and learning, and they are silent and ubiquitous. It is an undetectable abusive pain that the seemingly normal world imposes on my soul. When I don't know, this pain is like the growth of grass, natu- rally penetrating my body; until I know, it has merged with me and hard to be stripped. In my opinion, art plays the most gentle oppression, because it's skill and beauty. Sometimes, I still feel the recognition, welcome, and happiness of this pain. I feel individuals are easy to retreat in confrontation with the system, so my feelings should cherish every oppor- tunity to feel pain. Maybe in a political system without freedom and justice, every life grows together with the systematic persecution, and everyone's death could be a murder. The significance of these pains of silence is that I want to change this unfair world and to recognize more personal values. It's a big size painting with part of installation. I used acrylic and ink painted the background and sky on the wood board by using some special brushes which were made by myself. After then installed the doll and the wild grasses and painted them.
