VIEW IN MY ROOM
This artwork is a homage to the late artist genius Basil Gogos depicting my "cicerotone" version of his portrait of actor Boris Karloff in the role of Frankenstein's monster. I am the creator of this new mix-media approach to halftone technique, the "cicerotone", which is achieved using corrugated paper to paint on, giving the viewer an interesting sense of texture and intricate details when looked at close proximity. At distance the optical illusion that reproduces the photographic effect of halftone emerges in its full force. This piece is ready to frame.
